Knowledge About Most Dangerous Sports | East Devon of Most Dangerous Sports
East Devon of most dangerous sportsAxmouth to Lyme RegisThe Undercliff in Dorset-East Devon stretches the 5 miles (8.0km) between Lyme Regis, near to the Cobb harbour, and Seaton. Like its namesake on the Isle of Wight, this feature also arose as a result of landslips and has become a rare and unusual habitat for plants and birds. It is a national nature reserve the Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs NNR and the South West Coast Path runs through it. The footpath stretches for 7 8 miles (13km) and is not accessible except at each end. It is not permitted to leave the path due to the nature reserve status and the dangerous terrain. Some of the landslips that created the Undercliff took place within historical record. Recorded slips took place in 1775, 1828, 1839 (the Great Slip) and 1840. The 1839 slip was especially well-documented since the geologists Buckland and Conybeare were in the area to survey it. A large tract of land below Bindon Manor and Dowlands Farm slipped, creating the features now called Goat Island and the Chasm. It took with it an area of sown wheatfield which remained sufficiently undamaged for the wheat to be harvested in 1840, when the slip was a popular visitor attraction. The Undercliff was formerly open rough pasture, grazed by sheep and rabbits, including features such as Donkey Green (an area of turf used for picnics and sports), Landslip Cottage (which used to sell teas to visitors), and Chapel Rock (where, according to tradition, Tudor religious dissenters met). However, it became heavily overgrown in the 20th century following the cessation of sheep farming and the decline in rabbits due to myxomatosis, and access is now difficult, the terrain being treacherous due to its unstable cliffs, deep gullies and dense undergrowth.Sabine Baring-Gould's 1900 novel Winefred, a story of the chalk cliffs is set in the Undercliff area, with the Great Slip as its climax. The Undercliff was also one of the settings for the novel The French Lieutenant's Woman and a location for its film adaptation.HookenThe Hooken Undercliff is on the cliff route between Beer, Devon and Branscombe. A slump in the Chalk cliffs in 1790 separated a 10-acre (40,000m2) tract of land, now a wooded and sheltered habitat with chalk pinnacles on the seaward side. It is reached via a steep footpath leading from the clifftop to Branscombe Beach.------Assassination of most dangerous sportsWhile heading to the offices of Ojinaga Noticias to issue some photographs and reports on 3 March 2013, unknown gunmen intercepted Gonzlez Domnguez and shot him 18 times using FN Five-seven pistols, wounding him at a taco stand near his home in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, a border city just across from Presidio, Texas. Once the attack was perpetrated, the assassins took his camera, reportedly because he had taken a picture of a member of their organized crime group. Having survived the attack, he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died of hemothorax and hemoperitoneum 10 minutes after arriving.Shortly after his assassination, the newspaper's website posted a message condemning the attack and uploaded a photograph in honour of Gonzlez Domnguez before shutting down from fear of reprisals. The only text available at the homepage is "This page has been suspended. Please return later."The attackers' identities, just like motives behind his assassination, are unknown. There were no official reports of any death threats prior to his killing. With Gonzlez Domnguez's assassination, Mexico maintains its reputation as one of the most dangerous countries in the world for journalists. At least 50 of them were kidnapped or killed under the administration of Felipe Caldern, who served from 2006 to December 2012.BackgroundOjinaga is located on the eastern part of the state of Chihuahua; it is a lucrative smuggling zone for narcotics heading towards the United States and a battleground for rivaling drug trafficking organizations that seek to gain control of the area's routes. Local journalists believe that the criminal group that controls the area of Ojinaga is La Lnea, the armed group under the tutelage of the Jurez Cartel. Chihuahua is one of the most dangerous states in Mexico in which to practice journalism. At least 11 journalists have been killed in the state since 2000, and all of their assassinations remain unsolved.A 1 On 19 February 2001, journalist Jos Luis Ortega Mata (aged 37), the director of a newspaper in Ojinaga, was assassinated. His death, too, remains unpunished.Gonzlez Domnguez was killed a few days before an Inter-American Press Association convention in the state of Puebla. The group has noted that journalists in Mexico face severe threats for their work. In addition, he is the first journalist killed during the administration of President Enrique Pea Nieto.A 2------Appalachian Trail hikes of most dangerous sportsWarren's interest in the Appalachian Trail was such that he organized a group of mostly college students to hike the trail in 1975. All 19 participants in the group completed the hike together in 109 days. Warren led additional "Circle Expeditions" of the Appalachian Trail in the years 1977, 1980, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010; (also with phenomenal completion rates); and then two 'regular' expeditions in 2015 and 2017."THE 2017 APPALACHIAN TRAIL EXPEDITION" (PDF)..mw-parser-output cite.citationfont-style:inherit.mw-parser-output .citation qquotes:"""""""'""'".mw-parser-output .id-lock-free a,.mw-parser-output .citation .cs1-lock-free abackground-image:url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/65/Lock-green.svg/9px-Lock-green.svg.png");background-image:linear-gradient(transparent,transparent),url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/65/Lock-green.svg");background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:9px;background-position:right .1em center.mw-parser-output .id-lock-limited a,.mw-parser-output .id-lock-registration a,.mw-parser-output .citation .cs1-lock-limited a,.mw-parser-output .citation .cs1-lock-registration abackground-image:url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d6/Lock-gray-alt-2.svg/9px-Lock-gray-alt-2.svg.png");background-image:linear-gradient(transparent,transparent),url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d6/Lock-gray-alt-2.svg");background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:9px;background-position:right .1em center.mw-parser-output .id-lock-subscription a,.mw-parser-output .citation .cs1-lock-subscription abackground-image:url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/aa/Lock-red-alt-2.svg/9px-Lock-red-alt-2.svg.png");background-image:linear-gradient(transparent,transparent),url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/aa/Lock-red-alt-2.svg");background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:9px;background-position:right .1em center.mw-parser-output .cs1-subscription,.mw-parser-output .cs1-registrationcolor:#555.mw-parser-output .cs1-subscription span,.mw-parser-output .cs1-registration spanborder-bottom:1px dotted;cursor:help.mw-parser-output .cs1-ws-icon abackground-image:url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4c/Wikisource-logo.svg/12px-Wikisource-logo.svg.png");background-image:linear-gradient(transparent,transparent),url("upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Wikisource-logo.svg");background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:12px;background-position:right .1em center.mw-parser-output code.cs1-codecolor:inherit;background:inherit;border:inherit;padding:inherit.mw-parser-output .cs1-hidden-errordisplay:none;font-size:100%.mw-parser-output .cs1-visible-errorfont-size:100%.mw-parser-output .cs1-maintdisplay:none;color:#33aa33;margin-left:0.3em.mw-parser-output .cs1-subscription,.mw-parser-output .cs1-registration,.mw-parser-output .cs1-formatfont-size:95%.mw-parser-output .cs1-kern-left,.mw-parser-output .cs1-kern-wl-leftpadding-left:0.2em.mw-parser-output .cs1-kern-right,.mw-parser-output .cs1-kern-wl-rightpadding-right:0.2em.mw-parser-output .citation .mw-selflinkfont-weight:inheritSince 1989, approximately one thousand hikers have completed Warren's Appalachian Trail Institute, a five-day long training course taken by those who hope to complete a thru-hike. He also won several international caps for the Croatian under-17, under-19 and under-21 national teams between 19932000.Tudor made his debut in Croatia's final match of the 1998 FIFA World Cup qualifying, a 11 draw at Ukraine on 15 November 1997, coming on as a substitute for Aljoa Asanovi in the 89th minute. He was subsequently part of the Croatian squad that finished third at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. At the tournament, he made three appearances as a substitute in the closing stages of Croatia's games against Japan, Romania and the Netherlands. After the 1998 World Cup, he made four appearances in the Croatian national team's unsuccessful qualifying campaign for UEFA Euro 2000, being in the starting line-up on all four occasions. He also appeared in six matches during Croatia's qualifying campaign for the 2002 World Cup, but missed the final tournament in South Korea and Japan due to an injury. He returned to the national team during the qualifying stages for Euro 2004, appearing in seven qualifying matches. At the finals in Portugal, he appeared in two of Croatia's three group matches. In his first appearance at the tournament, a 22 draw against France, he scored an own goal to put the French side 10 up midway through the first half. His second appearance at the tournament came in Croatia's final group match against England, where he scored Croatia's second goal to keep their hopes alive after they found themselves 31 down in the second half. Frank Lampard, however, soon netted England's fourth goal and Croatia were knocked out of the tournament in the group stage.Tudor was also included in Croatia's 23-man squad for the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany, having appeared in eight qualifying matches for the tournament, scoring two goals. He recorded his first goal of the qualifying when he scored Croatia's final goal in their 30 win at home to Malta on 30 March 2005. His second goal of the competition came in Croatia's 31 win at Bulgaria on 4 June 2005, when he put Croatia 20 up just over half an hour from time. At the 2006 World Cup finals, he started all of Croatia's three group matches and played the full 90 minutes in two of them. Croatia, however, were eliminated from the tournament after a 22 draw against Australia in their final group match, with Tudor receiving his second yellow card of the tournament for complaining about the penalty kick from which Australia scored a 11 equaliser. He made no further appearances for the national team following the tournament.------Pre-match of most dangerous sportsQatar, with majority of the squad was formed from the basis of the team that won the 2014 AFC U-19 Asian Cup, was drawn into group E, together with neighbor and rival Saudi Arabia, and two minnows Lebanon and North Korea. Qatar easily topped their group with a comfortable style, winning all three matches, respectively, 20 Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, as well as its biggest ever win in their Asian Cup history, a 60 win over North Korea, despite being completely cut off from fans. Qatar then met Iraq in the round of sixteen as Iraqi supporters dominated the stadium, where Iraqi-born Bassam Al-Rawi turned hero as Qatar won its first ever knockout stage game, 10. Qatar then faced the Asian powerhouse South Korea, which had previously eliminated Germany from the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the appearance of star striker Son Heung-min, and created the biggest shock in the tournament, beating the mighty South Koreans 10 to reach the semi-finals, without conceding a single goal. The United Arab Emirates, as hosts, automatically drawn into the group A, along with neighbor Bahrain, and guests Thailand and India. Prior to the tournament, the United Arab Emirates suffered a bad new when playmaker and star Omar Abdulrahman could not take part due to an injury. The United Arab Emirates topped the group, but with an unpromising performance, winning only against India and drew to Bahrain and Thailand. In the round of sixteen, the United Arab Emirates struggled for over 120' to overcome a brave Kyrgyzstan 32 with Ahmed Khalil converted a successful penalty. Then, the United Arab Emirates managed its biggest achievement in the tournament, beating then-Asian champions Australia 10 thanked for a mistake by Milos Degenek, to set-up its semi-final encounter against Qatar. As Japan had crushed Iran 30 in the earlier semi-finals, the winner of the last semi-final game would face Japan for the trophy. The United Arab Emirates also held an edge by historical performance, being undefeated to Qatar since 2002.Match ticket controversyPrior to the semi-finals, Prince Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan decided to buy all the remaining tickets of the match to distribute for home fans, as a way to cheer the spirit of the United Arab Emirates, meaning that Qatar had to face an entirely hostile crowd. This had generated controversy as the United Arab Emirates were attempting to politicize the match, given the earlier crisis in the relations between two countries.
How Must a Waiter/waitress/food Server in a Hotel Light a Guest's Cigarette?
Offer your lighter. That will be apt1. I am 14 and 15 in 2 months my dads close cousin owns a pub can i waiter at this pub?A pub is no place for a young vulnerable child. Get another job that is more age appropriate. A young girl passing drinks and food to people who have been drinking alcohol is not a very wise idea.2. How do I tip a waiter at a bar?You tip them with the bill. I usually tip 16% when the bill comes. You do not have to tip them every time you get a drink.3. Is it okay to address a waiter as "Sir" in India? If not "Sir," what else can be used? You are talking to a Indian man, so use Indian words like 'Bhaiyaji', 'Suniye ji' etc. But, the word 'Bhaiyaji' or, 'Brother' is enough. A simple prologue 'My sisters and brothers of America' made Swami Vivekananda famous in his first speech in the 1893's World parliament of religion. Hence, such a cordial word, obviously has great power. In Bengal, we refer everyone others as 'Dada', which means 'Elder brother', whenever we feel confused about his age. This is one of the most common word here.4. When a waiter comes around to your table after the meal has been served to ask how everything is, do they really want to know if you don't like their dish?Sure, if that's something that's wrong. The real intent, though, is not just to check on the food, it's to check on the overall status of the table. It's not uncommon for customers to realize moments after the waiter walks away from putting your food on the table that they want something else. Maybe they just forgot or maybe it was not until after they took a bite they realized they needed it. Maybe they did not realize until you walked away that part of their order is wrong or missing. Maybe you just realize after a few bites that you really need more sauce or something. Whatever. So that first check back is for literally anything you might want, not just a check on the food quality. But yes, if there's something wrong with your food, by all means say something5. What time would a head waiter get off if the restaurant closes at 11pm?About 2 am. They have to manage the other waiters to clean up for the night, then prep for the next night. The restaurant business is very very tough. An owner of a restaurant would easily put weight of an experienced dishwasher over a so-so prep chef. Why - there's a limited number of plates and the customers at 8 pm are eating off the same plates from the 6 pm crowd. Understanding organization and utilizing experience is key to the restaurant business. The head waiter needs to manage his staff well and understand where the deficiencies are. The utensils do not wrap themselves in the napkins. Trust me, given any chance to perform a shoddy job, a waiter under the head waiter will do that and hurt everyone.6. Should I tip a waiter/waitress if the bill was expensive and they didn't do much? Was the service good? Was it prompt and polite? If yes then tip if not then do not7. Is it rude for a waiter to sit down and talk to his customers?I would hate that; he does not know what he may be interrupting. And it's definitely extremely unprofessional. The question is, how do you politely ask him to leave? If you knew him at all, even just as an acquaintance, it would not be too bad, but it's still not right.8. Isn't it considered rude not to tip your waiter/waitress?But she's not serving you for free, she gets paid a wage. I've heard that servers in America do not necessarily get minimum wage, (which surely makes a mockery of the concept of a minimum wage) and if that's true then it's f*cked and I feel sorry for people in the profession, but it's not the responsibility of their customers to blindly fill the gap in their pay-cheque. A tip should be a response to better-than-average service, not a mandatory charge. Your boyfriend and his friends sound like idiots and yes it's rude not to tip. It's not an obligation though.

Hello! I Wanted to Know the Difference Between the Noise of a Bad Wheel Bearing and Bad Brakes.?
You need to run from those folks. They are gyp artists and they really got your number. Go to an honest shop. The "free" inspection is not really free, is it? They will be happy to take your money for a whole new brake system that you do not need if the problem is a noisy wheel bearing. The caliper is not broken and fused. Bet on that. Those are some scary expressions, are not they? You did not bring the car in on a tow truck, which you would have with all the things wrong they say. I had a shop like that tell me I needed a new battery. I bought tires and wheel alignment that I knew I needed because that's all I went there for, but not a battery. They did loosen one battery cable so it would be troublesome later on when the weather turned. I cleaned and tightened the cable. I know how much to trust shops telling me my non problem is going to be a failure.1. Why do women mistake wide child-bearing hips with being fat?A lot of mothers are smaller than women who have never had children2. Is it possible that two different accounts in the same bank and branch have checkbooks bearing the same number? It is impossible for two checking accounts in the same bank to bear the same account number. You can have a box of replacement checks, one pad of which someone else has gotten their hands on and used, if that's what you are referring to.Examine the check number of the one that you believe was used fraudulently, and compare it with check pads you still have in your possession. Odds are, you will be missing the pad that contains that check number3. How can I kill thistle weeds around fruit bearing bushes?Cut it down just after the flowers start to open. Pulling or cutting thistle at this point kills the plant and the root. Pulling it at any other time without digging up the root system will allow the thistle to spread via the roots. Do not let the flowers to get pollinated as that means they will form seed, even on a dead plant and than you will get more thistle. I have used this technique for years and it works well for me. I just wish my neighbors would control their thistle so I did not keep getting new populations on my farm.4. 1998 volvo needs wheel bearing, suspension, tie rod, it costs a lot to repair; should I let it go?Get the wheel bearings, tie rods and calipers for now. The rest of it is not safety critical, but if you neglect the wheel bearings, your wheel may fall completely off! I do not know how sturdy Volvo's tie-rods are, I've been driving for 60,000 miles on some shot tie-rods on a 1985 F150, but just the same I want to replace those. I also had wheel bearings go out on this vehicle, it ate front tires alive and absolutely slaughtered brake parts. Glad I got those fixed. Learn how to DIY, as well, you will save a ton of money on repairs. Cars are not as hard to work on as they look.5. If a woman of child bearing age lost her uterus, can she deliver a baby in an ectopic pregnancy? No - you would not deliver a BABY - it would be a fetus - it could never grow to a survivable weight or size6. Hey, mother, I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster.definitely talk to her! if you do not you will regret it for the rest of your life! and who knows, maybe you two could end up a couple7. Does the right against self incrimination have any bearing on FOIA requests? With a FOIA requuest, you do not ask a government official, you ask a government agency. A government agency is not protected by the 5th amendment. In practice, the response to a request is not provided by an agency, but by an employee of that agency. That employee should respond based on the knowledge of the agency. If the employee has any private knowledge, that would not become part of the response. That applies if the employee has private knowledge of a crime. If that crime was committed by someone else, it might have been illegal not to report the crime, but that is independent of the FOIA request. Now let's say the agency has knowledge of a crime that "the agency" committed. (In reality I would assume some member of the agency did). Since an agency is not protected by the 5th amendment, it has to be part of the response. Now let's say the agency has knowledge of a crime that the employee writing the response committed. That's when self incrimination comes into play. I do not think 5th amendment allows you to lie, including lying by omission. So quite possibly that employee can say "I am not going to write the response to the FOIA request". In that case, the next employee would have to write the response, and that employee would not be incriminating himself. Now if all employees committed a crime together, then they might all be able to refuse to write the reply, but the agency still has to respond, so they might have to request outside help :-)

I told him to drop it and when I opened his mouth there were ants crawling all over his teeth...gross. I worry that your pup might have eaten some bones, that might obstruct something. It may not be a bad idea to call your vet. Otherwise watch him, and make sure his "stuff" is OK. Good luck5. Where can i buy a fishing rode to catch giant cat fish?I would go with a bait casting reel. Spinning reels will do well but i would prefer a bait caster for the big cats. That Bass Pro Megacast reel will work, but if you have enough money get you an Abu Garcia Ambassador or how ever you spell it. Good reels right there. For the rod i would go with a H action 8' Berkley Glowstik or Shakespeare Ugly Stik Tiger. Oh yeah, fill that reel with 50 lb. Power Pro. Basically use at least a 7' MH rod.6. what type of hardy cory cat fish can i keep in my 26 gallon tank? They do count quantity, certainly, as they make contributions to the bioload and the quantity of organic and organic waste this is on your tank. Tetras must be in communities of six at minimum, so do corydora catfish. Guppies delight in being in communities, not pairs. Your tank may well be domicile to a team of six corydora's, 2 dwarf gourami's, your loach and a team guppies. in case you are making plans on breeding them, you need to be retaining 3 women folk for one and all male, even though breeding is going to be a tad complicated with the gourami's. including the tetras might overstock your tank, plus they are in a position to grow to be slightly nippy while it is composed of alternative fish like your guppies and gourami's.7. will a red tail cat fish work in a 110 gallon with one silver arrowana and two or three oscars.?The answer is not just no, but HELL no. Alone, a red-tail cat needs a minimum of 500 gallons because they exceed 4 feet and easily hit a hunnerd pounds... a silver arowana needs a minimum of 300 gallons by itself... and a group of 2 or 3 oscars need about 175 gallons. That's 975 gallons total for them to happy. There is NO way you could keep 5 fish that grow rather large in a 110 gallon tank. They will stunt and more than likely die before they reach maturity.8. I hav 2 oscars 3 pictus cat fish a plecomosus 5 gold fish a betta and a shark?hello! you can keep goldfish in a 50 gallon, but not with any other fish. i have a 140 gallon JUST for my 4 goldfish alone. they produce a lot of waste, therefore a lot of ammonia. your oscars and betta are aggressive fish and should not be kept with community fish. they also get very large and should be kept in their own 50 gallon (with more maybe 2 more oscars to keep them from getting bored/stressed and angry). the pleco will get HUGE also. about 18inches. he's fine for now if he's small, but keep in mind you will eventually need to find a new PROPER home for hom (some aquatic stores take in fish as credit towards new fish). you betta should be alone in a 10 gallon that is heavily planted....ours is in the bathroom, he loves it there with just his snail "friend" ! anyway, i think your tank is crowded, and if you do not have the proper filtration you will have problems coming quickly. stress, fighting, death, ammonia poisoning.... a canister filter is best. the power filters that are common do not do a good enough job for the kind of fish you have. if this were my situation i would give the goldfish and pleco a new home (i forgot to mention that goldfish and plecos should not house together as the plecos will damage your goldfish!), buy a 10 gallon system for the betta with lots of plants and an apple snail and start yourself a bad a*ss semi-aggressive 50 gallon tank with oscars and shark! (you may need a bigger tank when they are fully grown, but for now, you would be good!) good luck!
Know About Sports Games - an Overview of Sports Games
An overview of sports gamesAn Olympiad (Greek: , Olympis) is a period of four years associated with the Olympic Games of the Ancient Greeks. Although the Ancient Olympic Games were established during Archaic Greece, it was not until the Hellenistic period, beginning with Ephorus, that the Olympiad was used as a calendar epoch. Converting to the modern BC/AD dating system, the first Olympiad began in the summer of 776 BC and lasted until the summer of 772 BC, when the second Olympiad would begin with the commencement of the next games.By extrapolation to the Julian calendar, the4th year of the 699th Olympiad began in (Northern-Hemisphere) mid-summer 2020.A modern Olympiad refers to a four-year period beginning January 1 of the year the Olympic Summer Games are normally held. The first modern Olympiad began January 1, 1896, the second January 1, 1900, and so on (the 32nd began January 1, 2020: see the Olympic Charter). The ancient and modern Olympiads would have synchronised had there been a year zero between the Olympiad of 4 BC and the one of 4 AD. But as the Julian calendar goes directly from 1 BC to 1 AD, the ancient Olympic cycle now lags the modern cycle by one year.Other uses of sports gamesThe English term is still often used popularly to indicate the games themselves, a usage that is uncommon in ancient Greek (as an Olympiad is most often the time period between and including sets of games). It is also used to indicate international competitions other than physical sports. This includes international science olympiads, such as the International Geography Olympiad, International Mathematical Olympiad and the International Linguistics Olympiad and their associated national qualifying tests (e.g., the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad or the United Kingdom Linguistics Olympiad), and also events in mind-sports, such as the Science Olympiad, Mindsport Olympiad, Chess Olympiad, International History Olympiad and Computer Olympiad. In these cases Olympiad is used to indicate a regular event of international competition for top achieving participants; it does not necessarily indicate a four-year period. In some languages, like Czech and Slovak, Olympiad (Czech: olympida) is the correct term for the games. The Olympiad (L'Olimpiade) is also the name of some 60 operas set in Ancient Greece.Ancient Olympics of sports gamesAn ancient Olympiad was a period of four years grouped together, counting inclusively as the ancients did. Each ancient Olympic year overlapped onto two of our modern reckoning of BC or AD years, from midsummer to midsummer. Example: Olympiad 140, 1st year 220/219 BC; 2nd year 219/218 BC; 3rd year 218/217 BC; 4th year 217/216 BC. Therefore, the games would have been held in July/August of 220 BC and held the next time in July/August of 216 BC, after four olympic years had been completed.HistoriansThe sophist Hippias was the first writer to publish a list of victors of the Olympic Games, and by the time of Eratosthenes, it was generally agreed that the first Olympic games had happened during the summer of 776 BC. The combination of victor lists and calculations from 776 BC onwards enabled Greek historians to use the Olympiads as a way of reckoning time that did not depend on the time reckonings of one of the city-states. (See Attic calendar.) The first to do so consistently was Timaeus of Tauromenium in the third century BC. Nevertheless, since for events of the early history of the games the reckoning was used in retrospect, some of the dates given by later historian for events before the 5th century BC are very unreliable. In the 2nd century AD, Phlegon of Tralles summarised the events of each Olympiad in a book called Olympiads, and an extract from this has been preserved by the Byzantine writer Photius. Christian chroniclers continued to use this Greek system of dating as a way of synchronising biblical events with Greek and Roman history. In the 3rd century AD, Sextus Julius Africanus compiled a list of Olympic victors up to 217 BC, and this list has been preserved in the Chronicle of Eusebius.Examples of Ancient Olympiad datesEarly historians sometimes used the names of Olympic victors as a method of dating events to a specific year. For instance, Thucydides says in his account of the year 428 BC: "It was the Olympiad in which the Rhodian Dorieus gained his second victory."Dionysius of Halicarnassus dates the foundation of Rome to the first year of the seventh Olympiad, 752/1 BC. Since Rome was founded on April 21, which was in the last half of the ancient Olympic year, it would be 751 BC specifically. In Book 1 chapter 75 Dionysius states: "...Romulus, the first ruler of the city, began his reign in the first year of the seventh Olympiad, when Charops at Athens was in the first year of his ten-year term as archon."Diodorus Siculus dates the Persian invasion of Greece to 480 BC: "Calliades was archon in Athens, and the Romans made Spurius Cassius and Proculus Verginius Tricostus consuls, and the Eleians celebrated the Seventy-fifth Olympiad, that in which Astylus of Syracuse won the stadion. It was in this year that king Xerxes made his campaign against Greece."Jerome, in his Latin translation of the Chronicle of Eusebius, dates the birth of Jesus Christ to year 3 of Olympiad 194, the 42nd year of the reign of the emperor Augustus, which equates to the year 2 BC.Start of the OlympiadAn Olympiad started with the holding of the games, which occurred on the first or second full moon after the summer solstice, in what we call July or August. The games were therefore essentially a new years festival. In 776 BC this occurred on either July 23 or August 21. (After the introduction of the Metonic cycle about 432 BC, the start of the Olympic year was determined slightly differently).AnolympiadThough the games were held without interruption, on more than one occasion they were held by others than the Eleians. The Eleians declared such games Anolympiads (non-Olympics), but it is assumed the winners were nevertheless recorded.End of the eraDuring the 3rd century AD, records of the games are so scanty that historians are not certain whether after 261 they were still held every four years. During the early years of the Olympiad, any physical benefit[clarification needed] deriving from a sport[example needed] was banned. Some winners were recorded though, until the last Olympiad of 393AD. In 394, Roman Emperor Theodosius I outlawed the games at Olympia as pagan. Though it would have been possible to continue the reckoning by just counting four-year periods, by the middle of the 5th century AD reckoning by Olympiads had become disused.
How to a Stop My Dog From Barking at Buses?
DON'T get him a choke collar. They do damage. Get a 3mm prong collar with a dominant dog collar backup and a dual clasp leather leash. Purchase these things there and watch the Ed Frowley video in regards to it. Should be right on the buy page if I remember right. There's over 400 free training videos on the site. Just use the search for prong collars if you can not find it. A choke collar damages the dogs throat. A prong collar uses equal pressure around the dogs neck. Use the prong collar as a training tool (see the Leerburg website) and start out training in an area with no distractions. Work in loud noises and buses little by little. Baby steps.1. could i be a firefighter in australia if i move there from england?Urban firefighting is a popular job in Australia. There are government & private contractor firefighters in each State & Territory. Workplaces include a town fire station, airports, military establishments and the like. You do not indicate if you are trained as a ff or not. A migrating ff could pick up work in Australia if they can demonstrate competency against the national qualifications framework. Volunteer rural fire fighters are found in each state and you can get a career with these guys in support areas like management, training and the like. You would need to learn the language and try not to take every opportunity to tell us how much better things were over in the old country. Apart from that, pack your swimmers, hat and sunscreen.2. Will I be able to handle the power of a KTM Duke 200 if I have to shift up from riding a Yamaha FZS V2 for more than 2 years? So I guess, I am going to see you on Sunday when you roll up in front of my house astride your steed.Seriously, bro. I can advise you only if I know how you ride.Theoretically, there is no great jump. They are in the same class category. Be careful and you should have no problems. That said, every bike is different. Pl carry out test rides. Take hands on advice from the mechanics and riders at the Dealership.Does not all this make you yearn to have a bike trg school in every major city in India? There should be mandatory trg for categories of motorcycles and for refreshers? I frankly feel it must become mandatory for undergoing training prior to acquiring a 125cc licence. We kill 400 people a day on Indian roads - 3/4th are two-wheelers. Sorry for going offtrack. But it is an issue that vexes me. Ride safe. (Y).3. My dog pee's no matter what i do.?Have her checked for a bladder infection and CAGE TRAIN her. That is the best way to train and if she has a bladder infection and it is treated, it will be much easier to train. Bladder infections cause dogs and cats to have accidents because of the pain and inflammation. She may not have one, but definitely get her checked in case she does. Get a very good book on cage training and do this until she is totally trained. We have used this method for all of our dogs (besides the first one which was terrible to train, without the cage). Do it like this: 1. Put her in the cage. In the morning, take her out on a leash if necessary. You MUST watch her, directly. 2. If she does something, praise her and give her a treat. Make a HUGE fuss about this - dogs learn through praise. 3. Feed her. 4. Repeat #2 with the out, praise, treat. 5. Play with her only on a tiled surface for no more than 10 or 15 minutes. Watch her directly during this time and DO NOT let him on the carpeting. 6. Back in the cage. 8. Let out every so often during the day and either watch to see if she does anything, or hold right on a leash. Using the leash will lure her to the grass. She will need to be where you are. Remember: If you praise her and she did nothing, she WILL NOT get it. This could take a little bit of time. If she has an accident, that means you left her out of the cage too long. You will pick it up, put it in the grass, show it to him, and nicely say: Good dogs go out. You will make no more of it and will not scold him. This does nothing for training. You made the mistake. Always give a treat when putting her in the cage. Have the cage in the main part of the house. A cage in a room off by itself is a punishment and will not aid in training, whatsoever. It will actually be a negative impact on the dog. BE SURE she does not have a bladder infection. You will need to continue using the cage until you are CERTAIN she is housetrained, and if she regresses, you will immediately return to the cage method. This is not punishment, but a way to keep dogs from going to the shelter. This could take a few months. That is how it will need to be, or you will have continued accidents in the house, and she will think it is O.K. to relieve herself in your home. This is how it works. Get a good book on cage training which is the preferred method of dog training. The cage must only be large enough for her to stand up and turn around in. A larger cage asks for accidents right in the cage. Now, you can go places and not worry about messes in the house when you return. You wo not need to follow the dog around, watching her to be sure she is behaving. You wo not need to scold her (does not help, at all). You can have a life, and a dog.
Radiator Problems... Any Help?
Your radiator does not cause you vehicle to shift or drive rough. However I think you have a transmission problem my dear1. my car runs out of coolant very fast help?i have this same problem it could be 3 things or more starting small... it could be the water hose this is fairly cheap you could do it your self. then it could be the water pump since you say you heard a sizzling noise its 9 times out of 10 that this job could caust you about 200 or 300. then the bad check your oil it could be going in there and that could mean a blown gasket! or also you could need anew radiator. I have the same problem but it was my radiator and water hose... eventually if its the radiator, the radiator is going to crack. Mines tore up because my fan stopped working which caused the water to boil and burst the water hose and radiator. Goodluck hopefully its something minor like a hose!2. could my radiator cap be the problem? What does the groove look like? If it is too deep, I suppose it could prevent a good seal. A good seal on the cap is essential, or else you will boil off over a cup of coolant a day, and be low in a week. If it really is too rough of a surface, you could smooth the radiator opening with a fine file, or block of wood with fine sand paper. But do not take off too much, because you do not want to weaken it. A new cap can not hurt also, since they are cheap. But if you never let the system run too low, you should not be overheating, even with coolant loss. A system should be able to run with the cap loose. and not over heat. But regardless, change the thermostat. Once you have overheated, the thermostat is no longer reliable. It operates by the expansion of a wax pellet, and once overheated, some of that wax is forced out and is lost. So it will never fully open again. If you really want to be sure the cooling system is working perfectly, rent a pressure tester. It basically replaces the cap with a pump. You pump it slightly above cap rating, and see if it holds pressure for 5 minutes. Any leaks will show up, and the pressure will not hold. Also make sure the fan belt or electrical fan is operating right.3. how to seal a radiator leak? The Radiator is in th front of the engine behind the fans.. Its is safe to add the stuff to the bottle, But its not a good idea to run that in your car for a long time. Try going to a locate salvage yard and replacing the radiator. They are not expenive about $75. 00 used. .4. radiator stop leak. does it work?Stop leaks are temporary but if it is a hose it is not going to work. The best stop leak is bars leak add cold to radiator and then fill the radiator up cold run vehicle or drive it at least 30 minutes to make sure it has circulated through the whole system and is under pressure. They make a small bottle for small cars and a bigger one for larger model cars have used it on heater cores pumps etc. when my customers can not afford the repair seen them last 6 months sometimes almost a year sometimes not at all just a gamble but the cheapest way. It is not a product that most mechanics recommend but not everyone is as fortunate and can afford to fix things immediately5. What does soldered mean dealing with radiator?you have a leak, or in other works a hole, soldering is done to seal up the hole/leak, a lot cheeper that a new radiator, depending on the leak,if it is not at the top, then remove the radiator, lie it flat with the leek on top,nor solder it, the reason for placing the leek on top is, when you melt the solder, it becomes liquid and more chance of a permanent seal as gravity will not hinder the liquid solder, also clean all dirt , rust and oil before you solder, the cleaner the better solder weld
